As you can see, I’m already off to a great start at maintaining the blog… 🙂
My goal for the first month of Ironman training is to establish a workout routine that I can stick to and to get in the habit of rolling/stretching frequently. The first week of training was a little unusual because it included a 5k race at work (where I won my AG, thank you very much) and a weekend at Lake Tahoe to volunteer at IMLT (a recap is in the works). I had originally planned an epic training weekend while in Tahoe, but the weather had other plans…

Week 1 (9/16/2013 – 9/22/2013)
Monday: Bike 1 hour on the trainer
Tuesday: Run 4 miles + strength training
Wednesday: Swim 1,600 yards
Thursday: Run 5k at work
Friday: Run 3.5 miles in Tahoe (altitude hurts!)
Saturday: Unintentional rest day
Sunday: Volunteered at IMLT from 4 am – midnight
